The June 7 trip to Wave Hill Garden and the New York Botanical Garden for the Chihuly exhibit is sold out so another bus has been added. Same trip on the following day – June 8. If you missed out on the first bus, be sure to reserve your seat for June 8.
Here’s a delightful day trip that begins with a special guided tour through Wave Hill, a spectacular 28-acre garden and cultural center overlooking the Palisades and the Hudson River. Horticulturalist, Marco Polo Stefano created a magical space complete with pergola and river vistas, a wild garden, special collections, award-winning greenhouses, unusual plants and an alpine garden. Enjoy lunch on your own at the new caf. in the recently restored Wave Hill House and mansion before heading to The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG). It has been over ten years since the artwork of world-renowned sculptor Dale Chihuly has been featured in a major exhibit in New York and the dramatic vistas of NYBG provide an ideal setting for Chihuly’s work. His one-of-a-kind installations will highlight the connection between his sculptures and the natural world. New, hand blown glass sculptures, created especially for NYBG will be on exhibit. Your “All Garden Pass” includes the hop-on, hop-off narrated tram that can bring you throughout the garden.
