Cheryl Marino at Plant
Science Day
Membership Ambassadors from CT Hort spent Wednesday, August 8 at Lockwood Farm in Hamden. This was our second year in attendance. We handed out our brochures and sample newsletters. We talked about the interesting trips the Society takes along with the lectures and workshops that we organize—all in an effort to build public recognition about the Society and its mission.
This was the 108th Plant Science Day! The event is sponsored by the Connecticut Agriculture Experiment Station (CAES). Members of the CAES staff are on hand to answer questions or to identify insects, plant disorders, soils and their management, along with other matters experienced by growers and gardeners. All educational activities are free and open to the public.
