SUMMARY:Gardening with Moss and their Cronies in Stony New England Landscapes
DESCRIPTION:The Gardeners of Simsbury would like to invite you to our February program. \nDid you know that moss was used extensively in World War I to prevent infection in wounded soldiers?  This is just one fascinating fact about moss\, important but often under-appreciated plants in our Connecticut landscape.  In this educational and fun lecture\, Steve Colgan\, an Advanced Master Gardener and moss advocate will present more fascinating information about moss including its ecological value\, interesting biology and use in beautifying our gardens.   \n  \nHe will also identify some common native mosses\, discuss the basics of gardening with moss\, and address incorporating mosses into our outdoor garden designs and indoor container gardens.
