The Connecticut Horticultural Society presents Historic Philadelphia and The Philadelphia Flower Show – Sunday and Monday, March 6 – 7, 2016! It promises to be a memorable tour featuring:

  • Historic Philadelphia Tour
  • Dinner at City Tavern
  • Meet Founding Fathers after hours at Independence Hall
  • Philadelphia Flower Show

Day 1: Join us for our annual Philadelphia Flower Show trip. We are off for a National Park Experience! Head to Philadelphia to see the sites in the most historic square mile in the US. Sights such as the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Congress Hall, Franklin Court, Carpenters’ Hall, Betsy Ross House, Christ Church, Elfreth’s Alley and more…

Check into our hotel located in the heart of downtown, the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS MIDTOWN.

Off for our INDEPENDENCE HALL AFTER HOURS TOUR. We will be met by a historic ā€˜1776 Townsperson’ who will greet us for our 18th Century dinner at CITY TAVERN. Then we are off to Independence Hall where we will sneak in and eavesdrop on Jefferson, Adams and Franklin as they discuss the Declaration of Independence. What a great night!

Day 2: Following a hot, deluxe continental breakfast we’re off to the fabulous PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW – ’CELEBRATE OUR NATIONAL PARKS’. America’s largest horticultural event, which attracts 250,000 guests each year. The garden and floral designers will show that horticultural design is itself a form of art. Enjoy acres of gardens, thousands of displays, more than 180 shops in the Marketplace, interactive exhibits and more. This show is sure to be amazing!
