This is a new foray into the world of mini-free libraries. Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens now has a Dog Stick Library was created by Catie O’Leary of Troop 48 as part of her Eagle Scout project, a major milestone toward earning the highest rank in Scouting. The library offers a simple, joyful idea for a shared spot for dogs and their humans to give and take sticks for play along the trails.
It’s a small addition that brings a lot of smiles, encouraging safe fun for our four-legged visitors and adding a bit of charm to a walk through the Arboretum. We are grateful to Catie for this thoughtful, community-minded project and for helping make the Bartlett an even more welcoming place for everyone.
