The Connecticut Horticultural Society, founded in 1887, is an educational organization dedicated to encouraging and improving the practice of gardening and the dissemination of horticultural information to its members and the public. The Society, through its many and varied programs, seeks to encourage the enjoyment, appreciation and understanding of plants, the environment, and the art and science of gardening.

The Connecticut Horticultural Society is a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

DEI Statement: Our vision is to cultivate inclusive and diverse communities across Connecticut, where all individuals have equal access to the joys and benefits of horticulture. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and our collective voices are heard.

CT Hort invites you to connect with nature and sustainable practices through programming and relationship building. By embracing the rich tapestry of cultures, perspectives, and lived experiences reflected in our membership, we create safe, collaborative spaces that enhance the well-being of all.
