Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation Offers Mushroom Program Aug. 24

Join Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10am for an educational mushroom program.
Joe Lenoce of Connecticut Valley Mycological Society will lead the search for mushrooms at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
He will discuss the basic types of fungi, where to find them, and proper methods of collecting. Participants will then head out to search for mushrooms in the ornamental foreground.
The program concludes with Joe reviewing documentation resources while identifying any fungi collected.
Appropriate shoes and basket or paper bag for collecting recommended. 
Admission is $10; Cedar Hill Cemetery Foundation Members Free. Advance reservations are recommended and may be made online at www.cedarhillfoundation.org. 
Cedar Hill Cemetery is located at 453 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford. The program begins near the bridge along the entrance drive.
