New year, new chance to keep your plants alive!
Moscarillo’s of West Hartford presents “Houseplant 101 with Marissa” on January 10 at 10am. This is a free lecture designed to help you understand the basics of houseplants—from beginners to plant parents in recovery. Start the year greener than last!
This session is perfect for anyone who’s curious about bringing more green into their home but isn’t sure where to start. Marissa will walk attendees through the fundamentals of plant care—light, watering, soil, repotting, and troubleshooting common issues—while sharing easy, practical tips that help new plant parents feel confident, not overwhelmed.
The lecture will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, whether you’re hoping to revive a struggling plant or want guidance before buying your first one, you’ll leave with a solid understanding of what your houseplants need to thrive. The lecture will be approximately 30–45 minutes.
The event is at Moscarillo’s in West Hartford, at 2600 Albany Avenue. It’s free. Please sign up: moscarillos.com/events.
