Gardeners of Simsbury Present Pruning: Why, How, When?

The Gardeners of Simsbury present Dr. Yonghao Li, a plant pathologist leading the Plant Disease Information Office at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station in New Haven, CT. He has more than 30 years of experience in gardening, disease diagnosis, and pest management.

Pruning is an important component of maintaining the health and appearance of ornamental trees and shrubs. Dr. Li’s talk will cover the objectives one should consider before beginning to prune and the proper techniques, tools, and timing necessary to achieve these goals.
