How To Fill Out the Event Submission Form
Event Title: Type in a short title for the event. (This field is required.)
Event Description: Type in a description of the topic and purpose of the event. (This field is required.)
Event Time and Date: Click in the date and time fields to choose the start and end times and dates for the event.
Event Image:
Upload a photo to illustrate your event. (This is optional.) Please note that the image will not display inside the form, but the name of the uploaded file will appear.
Virtual Event: Click here only if your event will be held online or as a hybrid event with both in-person and online audiences.
1. Add Video or Meeting Link: This is optional and should not be used for events that require registration.
2. Virtual Event Label: Leave the “show on event page” and “show on calendar views boxes checked.
Location Details: If your event location is one that you have submitted previously, click in the box and select it. If it is a new location, you will need to add it. Follow these steps:
1. Click in the box and then click in the outlined “Create or Find Location” box that appears under it and start typing the name of the location.
2. A blue box will appear that says “Create:” plus the location you typed in. Hit “enter” on your keyboard or click on that blue box.
3. Form fields will appear where you can add the location details.
Organizer Details: If your event organizer is one that you have submitted previously, click in the box and select it. If it is a new organizer, you will need to add it. Follow these steps:
1. Click in the box, click in the outlined “Create or Find an Organizer” box that appears under it and start typing the name of the organizer.
2. A blue box will appear that says “Create:” plus the organizer you typed in. Hit “enter” or click on that blue box.
3. Form fields will appear to add the organizer details.
The organizer details are optional, but we ask that you provide a phone number and email address so that our reviewer can contact you if there is any question about your listing. Only the organization’s name will appear on the public Hort Hub listing. If you wish to provide a phone number or email address for the public, please include those details in the description.
Event Website: Type or paste in the web address where visitors may find more information or register for the event. (For example: https://cthort.org/event/the-growth-of-trees ) If there is no website, please include all event and registration details in the description.
Anti-Spam Check: Click on the “I’m not a robot” checkbox.
Click on the “SUBMIT EVENT” button.
Your event will be reviewed before publication on Hort Hub.
