Spring 2022 Plant Sale & Auction Recap

Thank you for making our Spring Plant Sale & Auction a huge success!

After a 2-year hiatus, we were thrilled to be able to hold this year’s event, LIVE once again, on May 13 at Bethany Covenant Church in Berlin, CT.

The evening included a plant sale, silent auction, and ended with a live auction of the most unusual offerings. This year, Nancy DuBrule-Clemente—horticulturist and CT Hort member—curated the inventory of plants we offered.

Those attending enjoyed the auctioneering skills of Nancy DuBrule-Clemente, Jim Sirch, and Kevin Wilcox, who provided expert information about each plant.

Proceeds from the evening benefit our scholarship program. Connecticut Horticultural Society is especially proud of its long record of providing scholarships to Plant Science students at the University of Connecticut (UConn since 1959), and Naugatuck Valley Community College (NVCC since 2011). These state college disciplines help to feed the pipeline of horticultural professionals in our state. A $5 admission fee includes refreshments.
