Quarantine on spotted lantern fly reissued; report sightings

After continuing to detect expanding populations of spotted lanternfly (SLF) in Connecticut through 2023, the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station has announced the renewal of the Order of Quarantine for SLF that was established in July 2021. The public is urged to report potential sightings of this invasive pest when they become active again in 2024. The SLF is a threat to the agriculture and forests of Connecticut; early detection is important. Find more information about SLF and the quarantine order.
